Bounded Love
A ticking clock, so loud in the night, fighting within its mechanism to release all feelings upon those who watch with despair the passing time.
Should the clock explode?
Perhaps not – for then all essence of love would be without bounds and dissolve and never be within reach of those in despair again.

It is Love
Love comes so easily without trial, like a breath of cool wind on a hot summers day.
The fruits of its treasure are hard to preserve. To keep, to hold it is not possible
It must be allowed to pass – to be free, to be enjoyed by those who are because they are.
Let yourself enjoy, so that if it passes it will have been touched and held like a breath of wind – Still free

One night very late I awoke from sleep with these poems needing to be written down. It was a period of my life when I was living at Glenelg with Michael only 4 years old.
Time and Love
Each minute, each hour, each day – so short.
Time does not wait and neither does love. For time is the essence of all love and when time drags, so does love.
Treasure each moment that love touches you for a time must come when it must be allowed to be free.
1986
These poems were written on the back of an old envelope while we were waiting in the car for Michael to come out of school at PAC. Vanessa was up a tree and David was in the car seat.
Child of my Universe
Child of the Universe, child of mine, Use your wiles and care for what you have to share.
Keep faith in your abilities however hard that may seem, for you have only yourself to give and the wealth of others to share.
Other stuff
* Life is but a bowl of cherries, Eat them if you will, but remember to spit the pips out or you’ll become quite ill.
* Take it as it comes, Take it on the chin, Take it any way you can, but remember to also give in (now and then)
“Rolling stones have more fun” – Viv 1985
To my children 11th June 1986
The passions of youth give way to a gentleness of trust and of respect for love.
So serene in the knowledge of ones worth in youth is impossible to understand. Time has passed and yet stood still for I feel the same age but have changed.
My wits are smarter but my brain is slowing.
My body, I finally understand and now is limited.
The capabilities of youth can no longer be captured but the opportunities of the future are yet to be discovered.
I look towards the future with an expectancy of youth and trust that all will be well.
My children you are yet to learn as I have learned. I grant you my wisdom to use in your youth.
With love always Mum
For Now
For now and forever, one day at a time, We’ll find the truth of our love unwind.
Life is so sweet with you near my side and feeling you close, we have nothing to hide.
I seem to just smile when thinking of you and the fun times we’ll have with our skies always blue
Our minds have joined, our bodies entwine Now and Forever and for all time.
Fate
If fate plays a part in the meaning of life, Our love is destined to be without strife
For all along it has been so clear that you are the one I hold so near.
Your strength inspires, my confidence shines anything’s possible, everything’s fine.
So whilst fate plays a part in our inspired lives nothing can stop us – short of catching hives (sorry bout that)
Forever is Never
Forever is never so near or so far. It is only now, for want of a par.
To enjoy this life for whatever it brings.
Is never forever? Today is one!
Tomorrow may come after yesterday’s gone.
So many today’s all rolled into one.
Forever is never that near or that far.
It’s only today – Don’t look that far!
Maybe
If it’s meant to be, its meant to be!
Nothing we do will change the scene.
Life has charged us with being in love, together forever, two hands in one glove.
Lifes forces, melded together – two as one – everything’s beautiful under the sun.
Collision course
Our eyes collided, our minds became one, Our hearts are together, lets have some fun!
Caring is calm, there is no guilt, we know how we feel, its all rather beaut!
